He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
The ministry of Deeper Still originated in Knoxville, Tennessee over ten years ago (www.deeperstill.org). The DFW Chapter of Deeper Still began in February, 2020. In April of 2024, we successfully completed our 7th retreat!!
God is ready to lavish His love and mercy upon this broken world. Through our Deeper Still Retreats, we have come to realize the power of Christian women in community by reaching out to women who are still held captive by the guilt, shame and grief of their past mistakes. The body of Christ has been left on this earth to bring good news of salvation to the afflicted, to bind up the brokenhearted and to set the captives free.
We also recognize the immense need for the fathers of aborted children to receive healing and reconciliation from their role in abortion. As such, our retreats are open to both women and men.
God chooses to use His people as the through-human method of His hands, His mouth and His heart. We who make up Deeper Still are simply saying “yes” to being part of God’s through-human method of healing and restoration.
Michelle attended her retreat in October 2021 after an invitation from a friend she met at a Surrendering the Secret Bible study. She experienced so much healing and freedom that her daughter calls her "Michelle 2.0." Immediately after the retreat, she talked to Steve, her husband of over 25 years, about becoming a volunteer. In early 2022 she attended training and volunteered for her first retreat. Since then she was asked to take over the ministry as Executive Director and President of the board. Future priorities for the Deeper Still DFW ministry include growing the volunteer base, meeting with pastors and others in the metroplex to promote awareness to Deeper Still's mission as a resource for their congregations and planning fundraising opportunities. Michelle and Steve have 2 adult children and a daughter-in-law.
Steve is a full time Examiner and Pilot for Envoy Air. He began serving with Deeper Still DFW in 2022 as a retreat prayer intercessor. He has been married to Michelle for over 25 years. It was after Michelle returned from her own retreat in October of 2021 that he felt led to become involved in the ministry. Since then he has received training so he can minister to male participants to help them find healing and freedom. Steve loves to spend time outdoors, cooking and serving others. Steve and Michelle have 2 adult children and a daughter-in-law.

She continues to serve not only as a board member but as a retreat volunteer. She is passionate about pro-life ministry and works on staff at Care Net as the Pregnancy Decision Line National Trainer. She lives with her husband, Jason, in Fort Worth, TX and they one adult daughter.

Christi has been a client advocate at a local pregnancy center for the last three years. Through her work at the center and because of the freedom and healing she received through an abortion recovery Bible study at the center, she began leading other abortion wounded women through the Bible study as well.
Christi attended the Deeper Still retreat as a participant in the fall of 2022 and it truly was a life changing experience for her. She couldn’t wait to be a part of the Deeper Still ministry and was honored when asked to serve on the Deeper Still board.
Christi also co-leads the Future Hope Task Force (a monthly community meeting and prayer group) and is a commissioned Colson Fellow. She attends and speaks at FWISD school board meetings and has recently gotten more involved in politics with her husband who is a precinct chair.
Christi continues to lead abortion healing Bible studies and is very excited to be a part of Deeper Still ministries both as a board member and retreat volunteer.
